Installing Husband 1.0

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0, NBA 3.0, Nascar 2.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes thesystem. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to noavail. What can I do?
Signed, Desperate

Dear Desperate:

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System.

Please enter the command: "http: I Thought You Loved Me.html" and try to download Tears 6.2 and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources).

Also, do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program.

These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Food 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck,

Tech Support

Sitting Up

This last week has been a week of firsts for Gracie. Paul spent alot of time with her over the weekend which she loved and has learnt how to sit! At first it was for just a minute but she can now sit for quite a while unaided. I've also been encouraging her to roll which has been successful twice but she hasn't done it since - I blame the huge cloth nappies as she was in disposables when she rolled!
Gracie has also become a lot more interested in books in the past few days. I went out for coffee this morning and she sat in her pushchair looking at a book for ages-it was bliss as I sat there with earache relaxing in the chair.

Coffee Group

I love being a mother because I spend a lot of my mornings going to various coffee groups! Its such a great place to be with other mums where we can take and share advice as wells as talk about our babies nonstop!

Since moving to New Zealand I have found it hard to make friends outside of the church because I had nowhere to meet them. Apart from a couple of nanny friends i've made over the past 2 years my friendships consist of only church people-don't get me wrong, i really, really love my friends-yet i find it suffocating and boring to only be around those who think in simular ways to me.

Thats why i love my coffee groups- its somewhere where i can be challenged, engaged with the 'real' world and make a difference. I don't suggest i have the answers and others don't, its just that i hope the way i live and love, will challenge my friends in a simular way they challenge me.

Gracie is below with her friends from our anti-natal group.

City Lights, selling the house and more...

We've had a lot of complaints recently about our lack of blogging so i thought i'd write a little update on our lives.

A couple of weekends ago some of our small group/cluster spent the day at a foster home in south Auckland as part of the City Lights outreach project, which is run by YWAM and some of the churches here. The day was so much fun, starting with a time of worship and teaching then out to the many projects they support. About 7 of us spent the afternoon playing games with the children, weeding the garden, washing the van, fixing bikes, and doing a BBQ. Gracie was a great hit and a couple of the older children took it in turns to push her around the garden in her buggy and make her smile!

I've been spending alot of time keeping our house tidy as our landlords decided to sell. Things move quickly here as they told us on Good Friday that they we're thinking of selling and they are settling the deal today-crazy!
Although this was very stressful and unsettling at first, it turns out that the lady who has bought it wants us to stay here and will even do some 'touch ups' in the house to make it even better.

After a really busy couple of weeks, seeing friends etc. we had a relaxing quiet weekend at home. It was so nice just to be a family together and relax. Our neighbours gave us an old chest of drawers they didn't need any more so we've sanded and painted them for Gracie's room and did a few finishing touches so her bedroom is now complete. Photos will follow soon....
